Campaign Planning
Deleting an initiative
Remove an initiative and optionally bulk-delete all of its associated campaigns and assets in a single action.
Step-by-step guide
When to use this
Use initiative deletion when you accidentally created an initiative from a template and it populated campaigns and assets you don't need, or when an initiative is no longer relevant and you want to clean it up along with everything attached to it.
How to delete an initiative
Open the initiative you want to remove and click the Delete button. A dialog will appear with options for what else to remove alongside the initiative:
- Delete the initiative only — Removes the initiative but keeps all associated campaigns and assets intact.
- Delete associated campaigns — Also removes all campaigns linked to this initiative.
- Delete assets linked to campaigns — Removes assets that are linked to the initiative's campaigns, whether or not the assets are also linked directly to the initiative.
- Delete assets linked directly to the initiative — Removes assets that are associated with the initiative itself, regardless of campaign linkage.
What happens when you confirm
Once you click Delete, the action executes immediately. The initiative, and any campaigns and assets you selected, will be permanently removed. If you navigate back to the calendar view, you will see that all deleted items are gone.
Important
- This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Double-check your selections before confirming.
- If you only want to remove the initiative wrapper but preserve the work inside it, leave all the campaign and asset checkboxes unchecked.
- This is a useful "undo" for accidental template-based initiative creation that populated unwanted campaigns and assets.
