Configuring notifications
Learn how to set up and customize notification preferences so your team stays informed without the noise.
Step-by-step guide
Before you begin
Notification settings are per client/brand account. If you manage multiple brands, you will need to configure preferences separately while under each one. Switching brands in the sidebar will show that brand's notification configuration.
Where to find notification settings
Go to Settings → General and scroll down to the Notifications and Inbox tile. All notification controls live here. By default, every option is unchecked — you will need to configure it yourself to start receiving notifications.
Delivery channels
There are three supported channels. You can mix and match per event:
- In-app — Notifications appear in your inbox and as an unread count badge in the top navigation.
- Email — Sends an email from the notification server to the address on your account. You can receive emails immediately, as a daily digest, or as a weekly digest.
- Slack — You can check Slack for any event, but notifications will only send if your Slack integration is properly set up under the Integrations tab. See the Slack integration guide for setup steps.
Email digest schedule
If you select Daily digest or Weekly digest for any event, a scheduling section appears at the bottom of the page. For daily, set the time of day you want to receive it. For weekly, set both the day and time. The schedule uses your default account time zone. If no events are set to daily or weekly delivery, the schedule options remain hidden.
Available event types
Events fall into two categories: personal (triggered by actions directed at you) and global (triggered by any activity within the current client account). Your own actions will not trigger notifications for yourself.
Personal events
These are specific to your user.
- Comment mentioned — Another user @-tags you in a comment.
- Comment liked — Another user likes one of your comments.
- Assigned to campaign — You are assigned to a campaign.
- Assigned to asset — You are assigned to an asset.
Global events
These fire for any activity within the current client account, regardless of who performed it.
- Comment created — Any comment is posted.
- Campaign created — Any campaign is created.
- Campaign updated — Any campaign is updated.
- Campaign status changed — Any campaign changes status.
- Asset created — Any asset is created.
- Asset updated — Any asset is updated.
- Asset status changed — Any asset changes status.
- Asset ready for review — An asset moves specifically into "Ready for review" status.
- Initiative created — Any initiative is created.
- Initiative updated — Any initiative is updated.
- Initiative status changed — Any initiative changes status.
Recommended setup
Start with the personal events turned on across your preferred channels — these ensure you never miss a direct mention, a liked comment, or a new assignment. For the global events, be selective:
- Comment mentioned, Comment liked, Assigned to campaign, Assigned to asset — turn on aggressively (in-app + email + Slack).
- Campaign updated, Asset updated — use sparingly or leave unchecked. These tend to be high-frequency as other team members make routine edits.
- Everything else — enable based on your role and how closely you need to track account-wide activity.
Saving your preferences
Once you have configured your selections, click Save at the bottom of the settings page. A confirmation message will appear to confirm your preferences have been saved. You can return and update these settings at any time.
