Commenting, mentions, and private comments
Learn how comments work across campaigns, assets, initiatives, flows, and more — including @mentions, file attachments, private comments, and link detection.
Step-by-step guide
Where you can comment
Most core objects in Access Audience support comments — including campaigns, initiatives, assets, flows, flow messages, and A/B tests. Scroll within an object to find the comment section.
Posting a comment
Type your message and post it to keep the discussion tied to the campaign or asset itself. Comments can be liked, and you can also edit or deleteyour comments when needed.
@mentions (tagging people)
Use @mentions to pull specific teammates into the conversation:
- Type @ and begin typing a name to open the mention selector.
- Select one or more people to include them in the comment.
- Tagged users receive notifications based on their own notification channel preferences.
Attaching files
Use the attachment option to upload files directly in a comment. Files are intended for quick context and review (for example, drafts or screenshots).
Private comments (DM-style)
Comments can be public or private. Private comments behave like a DM:
- By default, only you and the people you @mention can see the private comment.
- Private comments are marked as private and are hidden from everyone else.
You can also enable Also allow configured viewers, which allows anyone on your private viewers whitelist to see the comment even if they aren’t @mentioned.
Configured viewers (private comment whitelist)
Configured viewers are managed in Settings. Scroll to the section that controls private comment viewers and select the people who should be allowed to view private comments when the “configured viewers” option is enabled.
Links in comments
If you paste a URL into a comment, Access Audience automatically detects it and renders it as a clickable link so teammates can open it without copy/paste.
